Carroll Boys Tennis Captures Sectional Championship with 5–0 Sweep

Carroll High School’s boys tennis team claimed the sectional title in dominant fashion, sweeping Churubusco 5–0 to improve to 15–4 on the season. Senior Andrew Jamison set the tone at No. 1 singles, cruising to a 6–0, 6–0 win and improving his individual record to 19–3. Tim Croft followed with a 6–0, 6–1 victory at No. 2 singles, while Alex Sznaza delivered a flawless 6–0, 6–0 performance at No. 3 singles. In doubles play, the No. 1 duo of Jack Jones and Sam Mettler overwhelmed their opponents 6–0, 6–0, pushing their season record to 18–4. At No. 2 doubles, Alex Holley and Boston Smith matched the sweep with a 6–0, 6–0 win of their own. The Chargers didn’t drop a single set in the championship round, showcasing depth, discipline, and postseason readiness. Carroll advances to regional play with momentum and confidence, aiming to extend their run and make a deeper push into the state tournament.
